Why Ultherapy AND TempSure combination?

Should I go TempSure Or Ultherapy?

Our team has treated patients with Ultheraphy for almost a decade and it is undisputedly one of our best treatments for skin lifting and tightening. The results speak for itself and our satisfied patients return yearly for their maintenance.

Tempsure Envi was bought into Clique Clinic in 2021.
Since then our doctors had diligently studied, tested and recorded patients’ results. Using radiofrequency (RF), Tempsure is a skin tightening treatment focused on replenishing the diminishing levels of collagen and elastin proteins (two essential structural proteins are crucial components that connect our inner skin tissues) due to ageing.

Due to many similarities, the differences in Ultheraphy and Tempsure technologies are blurred; as both use heat to target deep skin tissues, both claim to lift and tighten skin and both, based on clinical studies, work wonders.

In truth, both modalities can be combined to produce optimal outcomes in treating age-related skin laxity on the face and neck.

As each device is able to reach various depths in the skin, Ultherapy and TempSure Envi, when utilised together as a multi-layered skin tightening approach, are able to dramatically enhance skin quality, as the results from the combined effect enables better tissue remodeling as well as collagen production.

For the uninitiated, our skin is made up of three layers: epidermis, dermis and hypodermis. Each contains connective tissue with collagen fibers that provide the necessary support for the skin’s flexibility and strength. Tempsure pinpoints the collagen-rich dermis, while Ultheraphy is able to reach the SMAS ( superficial musculoaponeurotic system) layers. The Tempsure machine modulates the temperature as the procedure progresses, ensuring that optimum temperature is maintained for best collagen stimulation.

During a Tempsure session, the treatment area is cleansed and a gel applied. Using a handpiece device, the doctor massages the gel in circular motions over the treatment area.
This is done in a slow and relaxed manner throughout the session, with calming music played in the background. Over 70% of our patients found themselves lured into a soothing sleep. As the patient relaxes, Tempsure delivers precise radiofrequency (RF) energy that targets different layers of the skin.

This creates a “trauma” (mild edema condition) in the skin and as soon as 2-3 days after the session, the patient will notice glowing, tighter skin. Around 7-10 days post-treatment, progressive collagen remodeling begins in the dermis.

New collagen and protein elastin are synthesised and this process continues as the skin remodels from within. To the naked eyes, decreased facial wrinkles and fine lines, as well as overall lifted skin on the face are most noticeable after the 4th week.

One Tempsure session lasts about 30-60 minutes depending on the area being treated, with a full face treatment taking about 40 minutes.

There is no discomfort, just a warm sensation on the skin and absolutely no downtime.

Most patients observe renewed and enhanced visual texture/ appearance of their skin after just one session. However, results will vary from person to person depending on their age, skin type, and skin condition.

Our doctors might recommend follow-up treatments upon studying the results from the first session. Results are permanent as the collagen generated from Tempsure are naturally stimulated. That also means that collagen will diminish over time, and hence a touch -up session every year is recommended to help to keep the skin taut, hydrated and firm.

Why Ultherapy AND TempSure combination?

While both technologies sound similar on the onset, with both promising natural collagen stimulation, Ultheraphy triggers collagen in our skin using ultrasound; while Tempsure uses heat via RF.  Using just the right amount of energy delivered at the right depths, BOTH are proven to stimulate the body’s tissue repair process and jumpstart its own collagen production.

However, on closer inspection, there is a range of significant differences between the two. These range from which areas they treat, to which technologies they use to enhance sagging, aged or wrinkled skin.
